Brown Braising Pork is a traditional famous dish from Hunan, known for its rich but not greasy texture, melt-in-your-mouth tenderness, and vibrant red color. In 2018, it was ranked as one of the top ten classic dishes of Chinese cuisine in Hunan. Red-braised pork originated during the Northern Song Dynasty and was a favorite of Chairman Mao.
